during the collection and transportation of the biomass, the processing
(production) of biochar, finally re-distribution and usage of
the charcoal
The CO2 emissions resulting from the various steps can vary widely
depending on the radius of collection, nature of the landscape and the
type of biomass. Next, the energy to cook the humid or dry biomass
into biochar, and distribution to point of use.
